especially when King is out, we are not going to win many games. Kitley can't do it all. I don't know what is going on with Sheppard, but she has just not been herself. I don't know if she is trying too hard, thinking about it too much, or just off, but we can't win big games without her in my opinion. Traylor saved us in this game. Her and Kitley were the only two that had good games. If Amoore can get her shot going and Sheppard gets back on track, we will be a whole different team. If they don't, we won't make it to the NCAA Tournament. Judge me all you want, but what I pointed out in my post about things that need to be worked on, all happened in this tournament. I think the free throw shooting improved a little bit, but other then that we have a lot of work to do. We have the talent, we just are not use to having this much talent, and that is the problem. Poor Kitley already gets double-teamed and even triple-teamed sometimes. If Sheppard and Amoore are not hitting shots, they will just close in on her more. I honestly think a lot of the problem with these two games was the fact that it was in Puerto Rico in a different environment with weird times for games. There are a lot of distractions there. Not that this is an excuse, but I think it did play a factor. On the upside I hope it woke us up that wins will not be handed to us this year just because we have the more talented team. That talent has to show up. Still, if we put it together we will be fine, but we need Sheppard specifically to get out of her slump.
